WOOO. That would be.... a 359 gallon tank. SWEET!

I just read where you are going to use or used that 35yr latex caulk. I thought I might let you know that a few months ago I used that exact caulk to glue flat pieces of slate together. It worked AWESOME! Until I removed the stacks from the tank they were in and they fell apart! The caulking, it seems, re-hydrated or something. Just make that coating thick! The tank is looking better than the one I saw built in an aquarium mag a few months ago! Keep it going!!:headbang2:headbang2

The caulking will not be exposed to water. Its getting sealed away.

looking good Muni keep it up. I put mine on hold until I don't have to pay for a heated transport. save alot of money that way and back within budget. I'm still watching yours and hope to pick up a few things along the way.

not to throw a spanner into the works but what will you use to attach the glass to the tank? Silicone obviously doesn't adhere to the liquid rubber coat?

DIY all day! I am also building a tank... the catch is its not really a tank, but an indoor lagoon style reef pond, also on 2nd floor... fingers crossed :fingersx:

How many gallons? Gotta be careful on a 2nd floor. I can get away with it because I built this building. It is over engineered and I'm putting my tank right over a support post that is meant to hold about 10x the weight I have.

p.s. POST #300. lol.
