how many PBass could i keep in this for life?

and is there a genreral rule for filtration with cichla?
with piranhas, ive always had my fitration at about 10x, so would 3000gph be enough, overkill? i know more is always better but are they messy fish?

thanks.

Not to messy, but more is better. depending on the bass is how much you can fit in there.

ok, im looking for more general numbers, but i apreciate the input.

im mainly asking if 5 full grown tems, would be overstocked. regardless of the individuals tempermant.

not sure if i want tems, but you get the idea.

I would recommend a longer tank. Square tanks arent as good IMO. And 5 full grown tems would be WAY overstocked not even one full grown tem would happily fit in their IMHO.

ok i like these answers more.

so anything other than tems, such as 5 orinos would be ok? 3? im content either way.

whats wrong with a square tank, especially one thats 4ft x 4ft?

Over stocked isn't the word bradda. I would cross tems and a few other species off of the list. I recommend you do a bunch of research before you take the plunge.

I disagree. Bass are extremely messy and produce large quantities of waste. They require a extremely good filtration system and large frequent water changes.

For some reason, i have never seen my bass poo...... but i also run 2x FX5's on a 180gal with my bass.
