315 Gallon Setup - TITAN AQUATIC!!!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
yup everything happens for a reason! i have to say its definitely worth the wait!!! filtration is a little bit of an overkill but it will be good when i leave for vacation, usually 3-4 weeks a year. someone can just do a 50% water change once every 2 weeks and im sure the water wont deteriorate too too much! just have to cut down on feeding for the big guys!

i still have to install the uv and figure out a way to get my bio film media in the 2nd compartment to circulate like in the below youtube video. perhaps a small powerhead... hmm...

:WHOA: Man the Arro and Dat are so big, they make the tank look like its a 125 gallon. Impressive fish and set-up to say the least..

You really should look into a trickle water change system. I was in China for three months last year and my wife was able to keep every fish alive. I did have a guy come over once a month to change the filter media but that was it. She just fed them lol.

thanks guys! i wanted everything to be as perfect and maintenance free as i can. the only thing im missing in this setup is an auto water change unit because the tank is not situated close to any drain or faucet!

i have biofilm media (k1) in my 2nd compartment. theyre not moving around too crazy yet. i hear they take some time to sink and start floating around nicely. i think there has to be a buildup of bacteria on them to start moving freely.

right now, bit by bit are sinking and starting to free float like in the above vid. if this works well, ill be converting the 3rd compartment into biofilm media and take out the ceramic rings and move the crush coral to the smaller comprtment between the larger ones.

i will take a full video of the entire setup after i install my 36w uv this weekend.

my second water blaster 7000 finally arrived today and now im running 2 of them! at 4 foot height and approx 400 gallons of water from the tank and sump, im running this setup at 7.15 turnover rate per hour. i also have a koralia to help break down larger feces and move all the small particles off the bottom and into the overflows.

Very nice!!! Wish it were mine.
