330 Gallon tank like none other

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
wow...literaly all i can say

Great tank. You could have it professionally drilled and add the FX5's to either end through a bottom drain and a return pipe at the mid/top to move the water. I have this done to mine. It works great then you don't have all the pipes and you get great circulation.

The more I think about it, the more I lean towards the 350 new acrylic tank.

330 dog bone:

Pros
Unique design
Drilled
Resealed
Custom made
Full setup
Cheaper

Minus
Heavy (took 6 guys to move it in)
Octagon design = more seams to leak or bust
Was up salt and have to convert (not a major minus)

350 acrylic tank

Pro
Brand new and seamless
Lighter (which is main reason I'm wanting a new tank)
Can setup and have drilled custom
Free shipping

Cons
Cost more to setup
Standard design (rectangular)

My main reason for upgrade (besides we always want bigger lol), is for more room for my fish in my 220 and to go lighter. I'm in retail and can move quite often and so you can see why I lean towards the 350...however the other half of me says I can get a tank that you don't see everyday, is a great deal, and has that wow factor as my show tank.

What do you all think?

Am I the only one who thinks you should not get it? That is a giant PITA to move due to its odd shape. Also, your selection of fish is always limited by the narrowest point in your tank. Still, my POV would be different since pricing will be a lot more dynamic depending on where and who you are talking to.

AS a monster tank it won't really house monster fish that well. If you want a super community tank with discus or angels then get it. IF you want a tank to use as a partition in a living space... Definitely get it as it looks to view exceptionally well from both sides. If you plan to put against a wall the allure is decreased dramatically.
