thats an easy fix.

basicly you will want a container that the water can pass through, and fill it with the filter media with the return pump at the end of the container so it can pump the water that is passed through the container back to the tank...

basicly you want to build an over sized canister filter here is a crappy diagram for an idea...

oh thanks. so is there any pumps that do that or no, will i just have 2 buy lots of pumps.

I FOUND A PUMP FOR YOU!!! :headbang2 :headbang2 :headbang2

Heres a link for you .but before you look the single pump is $18,652.00:WHOA: :WHOA: :WHOA: but look at it this way the original price was $35,352.00 and its FREE shipping. And thats the cheapest I found them for cause i found a couple i think its cause its a gas powered pump.

And by my calculations it pumps 39,960 GPH or 666 GPM which is in the ballpark of what you were looking for hey its MFK we always over filter. One thing i just thought of with that strength going thru the water are the fish going to like it? I just thought of getting African Goliath Tiger Fish that would be bad:headbang2 :headbang2 :headbang2

i just read through 11 pages of this, and so far my thoughts are that this is going to end up in failure.

your best bet IMO is to turn it into a native tank, that way you won't have to worry about heating it, and then stock it on the light side so you can get away with 2-3x filtration.

how were you thinking of doing waterchanges on this thing? what about cleaning?

dont do that get a used fire department pumper for $5000 so you can filter your tank in style and hit the siren once in a while...

What's wrong with 2-3x filtration? It works even with heavily stocked tanks.

not in my opinion, the structure around the top perimeter looks like it needs replacing, the same is prob true for the bottom. I say go see the tank in person and take lots of pictures of the structure, until then this thread is speculation

lol no, polishing pads are just very fine filter floss and it catches very fine particles...

joke? lol i know on big tanks you don't need that much filtration compared to smaller ones, but i still wouldn't dare overstock with 2-3x filtration on that thing.
