This is very wrong about electric blues, they do produce all blue fry but the fry are next to impossible to raise thats why you use blue jene jacks to mate with electric blues.Two xanthic fish don't make a xanthic fish. Just like two electric blue Dempseys do not make a blue one.

DNA test should cost less than $100(I've seen $50), it just none of the xantic gars we know is spotted gar.So the testing costed the majority of the money. I wouldn't care what type of gar it is.
