Some of these people make it sound like being employed at a stiff white job is of more value than just being your awesome self. I mean, what part of making more than $50,000 in a year is worth being told you can't do what you want with your own body? I'd rather be broke and "me" than make a lot of money pretending to be part of this disgusting money-grubbing culture.

No sorry, my business involves food, not many people are going to want to eat while being served by some one that has giant holes in their ears.

Look at it this way, there is NO ONE out there that wont eat because they are NOT being served by some one that has giant holes in their ears. But, even if there is just ONE person that doesnt eat at my restaurant because a server had giant holes in their ears, that is money I lose out on. Why hire some one that will make me lose money?

Tattoos are cool if they are covered up or not trashy. My wife and I both have tattoos. She is an RN working on her MSN at only 23. Haha when we met she even had her tongue pierced! Of course, she grew up too.

Oh my gawd! Seriously?!? Tongue piercing?!? You know what they sayy about that don't ya? Ohhhh way to be a DB like you. ;) tehe. I Just can't seem to grow up..being 25 and all. I just can't let it go.
Can we be best friends then?

oh, and i know people in my trade that make 80k+ a year with stretched ears. I'll agree that its frowned upon, but at the end of the day, performance and knowledge outweigh looks, by a LONG shot

100% correct, but what about the "beginning" of the day? Having stretched ear lobes doesnt hinder your performance (maybe unless you work around machinery! ) but it can hinder your chance to prove yourself.
