Pics - the frame built into the space. Once I get the tank in place, I'm going to add another stud on each side of the stand. However, I don't want to do it until I get the tank in place. I'll leave about 1/8" on each side for a sheet of formica that will be glued to the inside of the studs. This will give a nice look, I think. The other pic is of the view from the tv side of the room. Pay no attention to the romex that isn't nailed in place yet. I have to wait until I get those studs in place. Yeah, I need to clean up my tools, but w/e.

Anyway, enjoy!

Part of me is thinking that I need to take it apart and start over. I think I want to paint the floor in the room with Drylok. When I get a feeling that I want to change something, I usually do. Maybe I'll talk myself out of it, but I might just take the stand down, paint the floor, and use PT all the way around. Decisions decisions.

Gonna be a nice setup!

So today, I went to 84 Lumber and rifled through their PT wood. Ended up with a lot of straight lumber that I'm excited to build with. I just didn't like the stuff I was using before. It didn't make me comfortable putting 2 tons on top of it, so I cut it all out and started over :)

While I had everything out, I figured that I can't stop there and so I cleaned out the fish room entirely to put down an epoxy paint mixture that will protect the concrete in the event of any spills.

Slow progress, but it's progress for me!
