Well predatory and 38 gallons typically don't go together unless it'd a grow out for like a datnoid. Hmm, I reckon exodon tetras get too big.... Now this is a real head scratcher. I remember asking this same exact thread on another forum haha... Hmm, now if I could find that thread again..... Give me a sex.

Ok, would a large school of tiger barbs be able to eat feeder fish?

No unless it was a fry. I've gotta say, I'm impressed by your commitment to get a monster that will eat other fish. Even trying tiger barbs lol.
Also, if you do get a fish that will eat live fish then don't buy feeder fish from the store. Breed your own guppies.
Hold up, do you want a fish that will live off of eating other fish or that will occasionally eat a live fish?

that will eat other live fish, not that will live off of them and I was thinking get rosy reds and hold them for 2 months or so and after that feed them to the fish

Well I believe a lot of fish will gladly eat a smaller fish occasionally. I've heard of goldfish eating small fish.

wait how about you buy two fighter fish and watch them fight till death? Its better than predatory fish

Now that's just cruel, shame on you for even suggesting it.

Bro don't think that way! Predator fish also eat live fishes why does he needs predatory fish he likes fishes like that? We can feed predatory fishes omnivore diet or frozen right? Its Its same as he said that he wants predatory fishes so instead i suggested him fighter fish which will fight till death and i by that i didn't mean let one of them die its common sense when the fight gets serious remove the one at disadvantage ! And keep it in another tank till it heals thats what i do i have done it a dozen of times and both fishes survived but yeah at last my oscar ate them that happened after 1 year of bringing them
