3M color quartz, anyone using other colors besides black, tan or white?

It would be nice to get a few colors and mix them up but I don't need that much and it would get too expensive.

So,
I'm thinking about going with a more funky color like plum, red or green.
Anyone else try this?

I have alot of driftwood in my tank and a few plants, I keep geo's, cory cats, pleco's, ect.....

Pics would be awesome!

Sorry, I've got black. When I got it though, they had all different colors, and the green caught my eye. I wouldn't mix two colors, but I would mix a vibrant color with black. One thing though, is to consider your stock and make sure not to choose colors that will wash out your fish.

Also, the colors you showed look nothing like the colors I saw. Maybe this is what your people have, but the colors I saw in person were brighter and flashier.

No funky colors here, but i have smoke S grade.

If you found a good distributor/supplier i bet they would be able to give you some small samples of the product. You could then mix them up, make some color swatches and show the wife!:naughty:

pwmin has the red and it looks great. Search his photo lounge threads and you will find pics of it.

I apologize as I don't know much about this product, but does it ever leech its colour in the water? I am assuming it doesn't 3M make some good products.
*Edit*
Just looked it up, looks like an awesome product. 3M is awesome.

I have read it can be hard to rinse clean at first, especially black, turns your hands and bucket black.
But after that it's great. I beleave it's actually coated in a colored ceramic like materal.

The red and tan I have didn't take hardly any washing at all. The black did, but it's still easier to clean than play sand and didn't turn my hands black. I almost got the plum to try, but it was quite more expensive.
