3M COLOR QUARTZ S- GRADE SAND

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
my 90 gallon dark river rock and tank back is painted black and right side is against black wall.... 2' 4 tube t5 ho lights the tank very nice.... lighting is key the white sand won't be white for long and imo after it looses its brightness will look ugly.... black and good lighting would work... but barebottom is soo nice and easy....

made the change back to bare bottom last night., was thinking of possible adding white 3m sand tonight. Love the texture of the 3m sand, but did not like the orange color.

I was leaning to black but my tank is so dark already that i think white would brighten it up some.

You said you like the texture. Is it fairly smooth? I have tahiti moon sand in one tank, play sand in another, and pool sand in another. The moon sand seems sharp and I'm not too happy with the colors of the other sands I have. The 3m stuff seems the way I'd like to go. I'm looking for something dark and smooth for my eel. But kinda weary because the 3m site says it's "Angular shape, crushed quartz". Figured you might be able to share your opinion. Thanks

That is for the T grade sand. The S grade is spherical.
