URS is what has apparently been found in the rays. As far as which sand is coated, they are all coated.

I actually just managed to get my hands on some colorquartz (last bags of old stock, and torn!!!) and I was wondering if my mbuna and syno. petricola will have problems eating the stuff as they root around. It is a smaller grit than I had expected (s grade) and although some had likened it to poppy seed size, but this just looks like rounded sand and seems like it will definitely be eaten a lot.![]()
Anyone heard of sick cichlids or catfish with this stuff???
