4' 90 Gallon converted to 240 4' Square Plywood and Glass Build

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
The last picture on page two is exactly what i was thinking of building but i don't know if have the space so don't build it (just kidding)

I've given thought to doing something similar. Using used tanks from craigslist for the glass to build plywood tanks. I figured it might be a good method for building a first plywood tank without dropping too much into the glass/acrylic window.

I'd like to see which design you actually pick with the time comes lol

I'm excited to see the progress on your 4300 much more though :)

BTW I used to live in NOLA and miss it very much... do me a favor and savor some southern cookin for me... and a half dozen beignets! And oh yeah.... GEAUX SAINTS!

Hurm, maybe...

Love it. Was considering a "U" plywood tank that would be conservativly 24'x3'x2' LxWxH.. Appx 900g

Wife talked me into (not much convincing needed) into doing an outdoor Pond/Aquarium of concrete when we buy a house.

I think this is a fabulous idea! I have a 120 gal taken apart in my basement that I was going to just buy a new piece of glass for and put it back together but I think you just changed my mind. I'm really looking forward to seeing how this takes shape.
