Here are the two from that pet place. Really look female to me. They were all very dark when I got them, very small also, under 2" probably.

Mine is about 4 inches now, he’s showing spots on the Gil plates and a significant amount of spots below the lateral line. I’m thinking I have 2 males at this point, who knows for sure though, I’m gonna vent them soon

I got some jags from that pet place too! I'm in the same boat. Got two from them, and one local, but I think theyre all female. Was really hoping to get a pair. I've read they can be vented after ~4". Or if characteristics show, spots and pointed fins are generally accepted as male specimens.

Do you have pics of yours. Ours might be siblings lol

Here’s the one I kept from the 4 I bought. I got them in January when they were about an inch.
He’s actually not 4 inches now, saying that was kind of a reach lol maybe 3-3 1/2. he is super aggressive. He already takes fast strikes at my catfish,plecos and convict
