if it's the media basket put the sponge on top(of the other media , this may stop the rattling) if it's the impeller try a small dab of vasoline on the magnet &the shaft itself,,, if its the lid some weight on top of the lid (book, or a rock)can stop it from rattling
I THINK it has to be a youtube vid to load...you can prob go to you tube and dig up a vid of an ac110 that has a bad impeller and is making noise (to compare)..I THINK there is one about the vasoline trick
Took the thing apart this morning didnt really find sand but added the vasoline and removed all the sand. Maybe just put gravel or get pool filter sand.

Gravel is WAY easier in my opinion, plus you don't have to be wary when siphoning that you will suck up all your substrate
. PS I posted some pictures and a vid of my BB cat on your 150 thread if you wanted to see him/her.no problem , I just think back to my first 2-3 tanks and all the mistakes I made ,,,,poor fishies..I am glad
