honestly only otto's or dwarf shrimp, even then it would only be a maybe. but they'll be eaten by the adult firemouths. ask cyberman for his specs

What cichlid could I get that would just be a pair and not spawn? Also, could I get a pair of firemouths and 4 denisons barbs, and instead of the shark, tetras, and Taenistis pair I keep the severum(he's really nice and lived with a crayfish 1/3 of his size that everybody said would get eaten).

Petshops will always buy quality.... I know that from breeding Flowerhorns and Festae in the past... For me now, I'm starting with a pair of decent firemouths - hopefully get 2 bloodlines going from 2 seperate pairs... I actually think the cross between my (extra red) female and (superior body shaped) male will produce really nice fry. I'll rear the fry to juvenile size and cull or sell on the lesser ones until I get a few really nice ones with great colours and shapes. I'll then use those to breed with with the other blood lines and then produce a SUPER coloured Firemouth that shops and buyers will love to get.

I saw online that someone would pay $10 for one.

Ok, just went to my lfs, made a plan: 6 denisons barbs, keep the severum but move to a larger tank when it gets bigger, and a pair of kribensis or curviceps. What would be a nice hiding spot where the pair could breed? I have a rock that looks something like this, except mines natural and the cave is a little longer in width and shorter in height. Would that work?

Forgot to ask what low light plants would survive with them?
