well as from you expected dimension of the 4k gallon pond....i saw go with your peacock basses then lol as for pacu's go ahead with them aswell =] stock it up!! XD. You can also try a Oxydoras Niger Catfish,6-10 Red Bellied Pacu's...=] uhmmm a couple of other cichlids will do great in their....try a Red Devil Cichlid,Managuense,Dovii,Umbee,More Oscars lol uhmm what else dude theirs lots of options you can take to your journey in that kind of pond dimension =]

also add you lungfish in their...=] when it grows up more =] uhhh you can also add a Jardini Arowana if you have lots of Cichlids in their....if so your Jardini should lay off of the crowding of all the other large aggressors.Watch some vids on youtube...pick up other monsters to go into your tank...like look into those ponds with monsters or monster tank alrighty

wow you dont have to be a cock!

don't listen to him

think it out before you stock your pond. Make a complete list, and don't be tempted to add more just cause they aren't at full size yet. You will have an AWESOME monster tank!

BTW, look up BARRAMUNDI ;)

in fall i will begin work on my 4000 gallon indoor pond. i want to know if my stocking plans are to much.
10 - peacock bass
3-4 - oscars
2 - florida gars
1 - long nose gar
1 - giraffe cat
1 - albino irridecent shark (i know i cant spell)
1 - albino channel cat
1 - gg
1 - TSN
It all depends on filtration. It looks like a very few fish to me because a have
about 800 fish in my indoor 7000 from 3 to 27", but i also have lot of filtration.

if it helps it will be 15'x10'x3.5'

WOW, Sahweet! now that's a tank...... Ummm what to do, what to do. a tank that size could regardless of what anyone else says handle Arapiamas upto 6 feet. Or could also handle Iridescent sharks and or Paroon Sharks which are true monsters (estimates around 100-130 inches as adults). Iridescent sharks maxing out around 48-54 inches. Paroons are known for eating anything, even upto there own size, Iridescents on the other hand won't.

Arowanas are nice at adult size (especially the Asian Arowanas), Rays are also beautifully graceful, like the Moto. Peacock Bass are Beautiful Beast when they hit adulthood too. Red Devils in my opion are so so at best when small and Butt Ugly when they are adults. Gold Severns are also cool looking fish. The cross between the two, the Parrot fish on the other hand aren't the best looking mutations on the planet especailly at adult size. Tiger Shovel Nose, Marble Salfins and Redtail Cats can be breathtaking at adult size. Redtails are Huge at adult size and I believe a pond only 3.5 ft deep wouldn't be deep enough for them, well maybe I'm wrong on that.

Bowfins grow to a large size as adults, have a simular body construction to that of Gars and inhale small to medium size fish at will. They have an extremely sharp and powerful jaw. On the other hand Snakeheads grow upto 40 inches can be beautiful Beast too. But are difficult too match up with other fish when they become larger. I have seen a 20 inch Snakehead bite a 15 inch Tiger Shovelnose Cat in half upon it's introduction too the tank, even after it was fed 10 goldies.

Your Pond has good size height and width too it, for me, I see only there being a depth problem 3.5 ft is hard too deal with. All that you put in the tank you will be viewing mainly from above, as most ponds are viewed. Oscars and other Cichlids aren't well proportioned for viewing from this level. I have seen Oscars in lakes, ponds and canals throughout Florida, there great for a fight on a rod, there not much too look from above though. Tilapia on the other hand are fish that grow too Monsterous proportions and look nice from above.

Arapiama's are Awsome from any angle, same goes for RTC and TSN Cats.
RTGG and all other GG are also Beasts that look nice and grow the great sizes and are able to get along with fish. (Note RTGG Will LEAP out of the water like a Missile when spooked!). Gars have been known to get the Monsterous proportions especailly the FL. Alligator Gar. ( I have seen mounted specimens of common gars upto 4ft). I should also note that the Flathead Catfish of the Southern United States along with Channel cats can get too be quite large and Monsterous too, though I believe the Blue Channel Cat gets larger than the Albino.

Pacu like the Black Pacu are superb fish for viewing at any angle when they become adults, I have seen these Beasts in the waters and Canels of FL. These Fish get HUGE!!! (I hear that they are great to eat too).

Now if you where viewing your pond from at least one of its sides and it was just a few feet deeper, now that would be a GREAT TANK and mindless amount of specimens too consider. While it's on my mind you mite wanna look into acquirring a Sturgeon or two.

Whatever you choose I wish you luck, and if that doesn't help then I would like too offer my assitance with your Pond - just have it carted over here and I'll take it from there.
