I stripped down my 45 gallon tank (it was very leaky) i pulled all bracing then ran a utility knife down the seams from the top. This requird a fair amount of pressure to sink the knife in once it was in it was easy going.
I cut some osb tg floor ply at work (that was heading to the garbage)
so i decided to make it twice as wide as the 45 gallon.I screwed the back to the base. (and thats as far as ive gotten so far)
But i was thinking i wanted to try sealing it with a masonary sealer
my biggest goal in this build cut cost as much as possible.
My 150 build has been going fine now execept high cost of sealers then after that filtration heaters etc my 45 was up and running when i started this however.
SO i decided to temporarly discontinue the big build (150 gallon plywood aquarium) so i can get proper equipment thats gonna take some time so if i gotta wait i wanted to make it worth it and get a saltwater setup.
Im gonna run the 90 off of my 45 equipment so i dont have any issue with gear.I still have some silicone that i bought for building my big tank so all i need is some putty and sealer.
I was looking at home depot and found some masonary waterproofer for 20.00 (outside u.s) i thought if its not that great i could use a single coat of stone effects across the inside 50.00 total 70.00
