scrap subfloor 0 dollars
stand built from const scrap 0 dollars
broken 33 all glass aquarium o dollars
old leaky 45 gallon aquarium 0 dollars
silicone 30 dollars (6 tubes ish)
a mistake 200 dollars and alot of labor
duraplate somthin somthin (drinking water safe like i should have done the first time)
70 dollars with hardener
pump 170
plumbing pipes and bulk heads 30 dollars( includes a pond rubber flow hose)
old aquarium saltwater light was 100 but i bought it several years ago so 0 dollars

my point being i had alot of this stuff kicking around already that wasnt good for anything so i finally put it all to use.

***COMPLEATION OF TANK***,Priceless:ROFL:

it's wider too the inside width is over 24 '' it was 26'' and ended up being 19 and a quarter in height to make room for the glass i put the top brace on the top of the tank so i could bring the water level up that extra 3 quarters of an inch.

The inside lenghth ended up being 48 and a half inches

These inexpensive diy"s are pretty much practice tanks for a 250 ive been planning for a few years that was before i ever heard of a plywood tank and yes it will be plywood.

The first thing i have to do is pull together the financing and then it will all be built with high quality materials 1'' ply 1'' glass front and i'll fiberglass it and paint it.

and yes theire will be a thread the dimensions will be 8' long
36'' wide

i have to check out the height restriction on 1'' but im going to max that out.

it will likely be a while yet but if i come into some money keep your eyes peeled for a good quality tank and a thread now that i have it all figured out.

8' longx36"wide sounds bigger than a 250, unless it is going to look short in proportion.
1" thick glass has a good height restriction. last i checked, 3/4" supported a 3' deep tank.
i think it will end up being over 250, which is good b/c if youre gonna go 250, why not go bigger?

My work is pretty slow right now so i have to start working again and get established again before i can do anything.

Awesome build. I was looking for a build that was going to be a "L" shape or for saltwater that uses plywood for most the construction. This is my plan.
