Looks like there is a 75% chance I will be trading my 150 for a 450 gallon.:headbang2
Right now my current stock is
12" oscar
3x 5" pearsei
4" firemouth
4" upside down catfish
20" fire eel

What would you add to this tank for stock? The tank will be a bare bottom and will have a substanual sump. Give me some creative Ideas!

Would Pbass eat my fire eel?? Once my fire eel is to a certin size should he be ok with pretty much anything? I have always wanted a couple of rays though also... The tanks demensions is 8'x3'x30". Another fish I've wanted was a big clown knife.

Pacu, pbass, arrowana, gars, depending on the demensions there's a large range of fish you could put in there. For example 200 CLOWN LOACHES!!!!!!

I would highly recommend the loaches...... lol :grinyes:

get a pike... I love my pike... you ever see a "true parrot" came close to buying one but my texas or pike would own it... maybe when i start a new tank for sure...

the cool thing about your stock is you can go with the not so big cichlids and have more variety... your tank members minus the eel are tiny... because of your size tank you could have a diverse stock.. you get something like a dovii and fish are probably gonna die... someone who owns a dovii in a tank of that size can straighten me out if im wrong but i would say to either go big or go small, no mixing(or you might not find your smaller friends... some fish take up a lot of territory too.. my 12" texas uses all 140 gallons... i only got a pleco and pike(who can scrap and is bigger) but when she freaks they run real quick...

Well the firemouth and upside down catfish can go. And the pearsei will get very big (14"+). So my stock is not that small....Everything else will be 12+ inches...

If you got a 450 gallon that means you probably have the money to stock it with some amazing fish. I like arrow/ray tank pictures because there is action on top and bottom. Sprinkle in some pacus or tinfoil barbs and you are good to go.

Would 3 silver arrows be overkill for a 450 gallon??
Just want some ideas...

I have 4 large (26-29") arowana in my 450. It is a bit crowded. Three would work but it would be best suited for two.
