To get a premium dollar for it, you will need to work on the cosmetics and move it indoors. Most people with money to burn are going to lack imagination so you will need some pictures of it set up in the house looking its best.

For advertising, you need to think local unless you are willing to ship it. EBay or Craigslist is your ticket to the local masses. Here, you are advertising to only about a dozen local people (if that).

Next, you need to punctuate and capitalize your writing. If your prospective buyer perceives you to be uneducated, he or she will negotiate as such.

The tank in Tampa:

The one in Tampa is bigger, nicer, and better presented.

It sold for $1225.

Thanks Chomps i have really been thinking of keeping the tank so if no 1 wants to buy it its there loss :D i mean i came down on the price and put obo(or best offer) because money talks and i have a few tanks allready and im trying to get 2 300gal tubs but hey if i wanted to give it away i would do just that give it away you know

No, that would have been a good deal. To the open market, there is more than just tank volume. Quality is everything when price is determined. Your setup is not is not a high quality job and will not bring a premium price when you part with it. The other setup had much better craftsmanship and the price it drew was determined by the current market.

An item is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it. You are the high bidder on your tank, so it is now worth $2000.

good point brother you know what ill give it one more try then im gonna try selling it for $1000.00 maybe $900.00 and a trade but a good trade :naughty: come and get it:nilly::nilly::nilly::nilly:

Paint the stand and hood, clean the actual tank, and atleast stick a background on it....will make a big difference. If you would have had this a couple months back I would have worked something out with you, its a nice deep tank with good dimensions. Unfortunately, just got a new 400 my self. Anyhow, Ebay is honestly your best bet, as well as Craigslist, and even the FLorida Sportsman forum, lots of avid fisherman that keep locals ;) Best of luck. I think its a great deal, just dont have the space for another tank this size.
