I think you should keep it. In that post when you said you were crazy for selling it for $1200, that said deep down you don't really want to part with it.

Convert it to saltwater and transport some free water untill it is full. Then buy a cast net and go to the intercoastal with some buckets. My brother did that when he lived down there and had some really interesting stuff.

that has been on my mind i wont lie but i dont know anything about salt i love those trigger and dog face puffers////but i also want to get 2 300gal tubs and put my barred midas in them to breed :D
 
chomps this has got to be the blessing of the week $800.00 and a darn good trade or $600.00 and a well built stand for a 180gal and a wet dry with pump home made or not as long as it works now this is a real deal

Two months ago I would have said I was on the same plain as you. But since, I have done extensive research and learned a lot about saltwater equipment and sea water chemistry. I have discovered a fairly complex recipe for artifical sea water, but I have also originated my own much simpler formula (have yet to test it with fish though). I also have built a large skimmer to work with fresh water (I'll be using that on my 360g rather than my pond). The design worked successfully even though the skeptics had said "you can't do that".


The moral of the story: If you like saltwater, then go for it. The information is at your finger tips. The saltwater and critters are free for you and only a short drive away.

p.s. I caught two trigger fish yesterday. On the way home, the drain plug came out of the tank :(

o got to be kidding me :( darn:irked: yea ur right tho i catch all types of salt water fish i caught a parrot fish and it was all aqua blue when i say pretty man that fish was pretty wow i never really thought about that tho where were u when u caught the trigs i cath them all of the time in the keys i even caught a lobster on a hook and line in the keys lol and a octopuss washed up on my cousins girlfrieds foot ur right some exotic stuff is right here in my face but im afraid to make that leap and i here that salt is way more easy to keep up than fresh
