475 gallon (Asain aro , 10 x severums , flagtail ,10 x denison barbs)

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
It's a totally different story from keeping them in a shop with lots of traffic compared to home

The tank only looks 24" wide I'm basing my opinion on the top view with the size of the stress bars
Then I split the top view in half and it looks like 2 x 12" or less

But if it was made to your spec then you will know for sure

But from the way the tank is set up with gravel and the rocks it looks like a ex display tank to me

Just went to re check the measurements today...119" by 31" by 32" you actually freaked me out yesterday because if it was 24" i wouldn't have put the aro in and the whole point of this tank was to have the aros a few years until i finish building and finding space to build the pond..

Yeah i know bro but i started looking at the pictures and it also looked smaller so i said he may have played around with the way he measured...Anyways do you think it would be good for the aro for life ? or do you think he will get stunted at some point

Do you mean you're taking his word on the measurements? Most people here are saying it looks smaller than a 475. If I were you, I would go to the store and measure it myself. Or ask him to take pics with the measuring tape next to the corners.

To me, it looks much smaller than a 475. But that could be just the pictures.
I went myself to measure the tank myself and its 300 x 80 x 81.5 (cm) which actually makes it bigger than a 475

Get a gold aro RTG HBRTG or xback they stay smaller than reds

I had the red I have now in a 32" wide tank and after 2 years it looked cramped

i personally haven't seen reds that grew over 24-26 inches but they can grow to 36" so i have no reason to believe its not and to be honest i haven't see one as big as yours..good job looks like he was brought up very well

Given the right size tank food and water they can grow to that size
This aro was grown for 2 years in a 84"x32" tank but has now been kept in this tank 8ft long x 6ft wide x 3ft tall for over 5 years
