48" light over a 6' tank??

IMO no lid is just ASKING for jumpers.

not my tank, I only posted it is an example of a 4 foot fixture over a 6 foot tank. They may have just removed the lids for a nicer picture.

Also, there is no reason why you can't suspend a fixture over a tank that has lids.
