Mine just started eating talapia without me even trying. I was just dropping food in for my rays and they started eating it.

Thats essentially how mine started. Gave up trying to convert. Then one day when feeding rays I figured I would try it. Bamm, they all went after it, so I stopped all feeders treated with parasitic meds for two cycles and fed Tilapia for about almost 3 weeks now.

well, are you addicted now? do you love armatus :)
Yep, but still hesitant to put them with my rays. My largest female Leo is a killer.

Yes you should wait til they are bigger before adding them. I only have mine with my 16" female. My big prego girls would eat mine in a sec

How big are they?

To be safe I feel they need to be as big as ray disc!

Got a ways to go to catch my female Leo. I will put them in before that. Once they hit a solid 10-11 they are going in so they better be adaptive and learn quickly.;) One is 9-9.5, one is right behind that and the other is trailing a bit 7" but is the most aggressive eater (Kinda weird, its the slowest grower) and will pick Tilapia of the bottom which in all reality probably isn't smart in with the rays.......:uhoh:

Mine was about 9.5-10" when i put him in
my tank, and my biggest ray was probably 12" at the time, but one of my p14 got him down for just a second, and the p14 was only around 9-10", but the armatus quickly escaped. But when they are constantly trying that is when a big armatus crashes the glass IMO.
I cant wait to see yours together with rays! You going to put them all in at once?

Thats what I am wanting to do. Just the third one is slacking on growth. Rather do it at once so they stay together rather than put the two larger and have them establish themselves. Believe it would make it pretty rough adding the third at a later date.
