I've heard the same.... Wish I could check it before firing up the UVs. :(

Wonder if they'll eat home made gel? Would be super easy to supplement it with anything from dust to flinstone vitamins.... lol.

Haha that's weird. Both of mine grow at the same speed. One was barely a half inch bigger than the other and now at around 9", they still are.

Any aggression yet? My bigger one used to pick on the smaller one but ever since I put them in my 150 with all my bichirs, they haven't harassed each other at all. I think its cuz they feel safer together now that they're not the biggest fish in the tank.

Only aggression I get is when I try to starve them to get them on other food. If I go 3-4 days then I notice fins getting a little rough. If I go a whole week well thats when I start seeing gashes in each other.

I thought yours would be bigger then mine but i forgot you were trying to get yours on other foods...

Mine are in the 10" range already and in the 450 with my bds. Dont think im gonna bother trying to get mine totally off live. Im sure they will eventually take frozen but...

They should be but I have tried several times starving to get them off live but the last two weeks I have decided to just pound them with gut loaded live everyday. Their sizes are more like 8", 7" and 6" after just putting a stick up to them.
Then hopefully I will move them into main setup and my VATF will help to teach them onto frozen and pellets. Chances are though that they will convert him to live. :) Plus my grow out isn't a 450 either.:(
