well Rays A and B had a 4x dose of Prazi.. then Rays A B C D and E all had a 2x dose of Metro/Prazi.. I want to get the whole tank a 4x dose, because I am still seeing white poops being produced ~ and I am pretty suire it's from Ray E with the heater burn (chronic stress proliferates internal parasites?)..

yea but i would go about 5x the dose and leave it for several days with no ill effect on the rays.... so your multiple doses for a day then water changes to remove it shouldnt have any adverse affects... the extra stress could be a problem.....

I think I am going to drain it down to 50g and dose a 4oz bottle.. so I will be doing appx a 8x dose.. bringing it down over a few days.. We will see what happens?

it's hard for me not to do the water changes because I am working with such a small tank and too many rays.. I am afraid the water quality will go south. As soon as i see 'frothy' bubbles on the surface, I change water.. (not with meds though, they thicken the water)

couldnt 50 gallons really send your water Q south real quick with 8 retics? maybe just do 4x but let it remain in the tank for 3 days...

Only 5 retics in that tank... the other 3 are in the 375g..

These 5 are lil babies too.. 3"..

I was thinking doing the 50g dose the first day (8x) .. then adding 50g to bring it up to a 4x dose the next day.. then letting it marinate for a day at 4x.. and then start the water change regime.

Can't feed them during dosing anyways because it kills the blackworms so atleast they wont be poopin all over

i see thats a good idea.... if during the dosing though if you soaked some freeze dried krill in the prazi pro and they ate it between the bath and the food you would elimintate any parasites for good..... a lil food for thought ;)

If only they ate krill! I might do that for my big rays.. but it takes em a bit to find food in the 375g

Since you are not feeding during the bath, won't your water quality remain more stable? Sounds like they have not eaten for a few days.

try soaking the freeze dried with the black worms... its sucks up all there juices and has worked for me in the past.... took about 10 min or so for the krill to soak up enough to sink maybe it was longer...but it worked

where are any controls in your medication experiment? How are you sure of what you were actually treating for? Sorry but I think this is worthless & potentially dangerous.
why use such an arbitrary and massive overdose? what damage might this do in the long term to your rays? toxicity? dangers to human users? many fish-use medicines are carcinogenic, especially in large overdoses.
