Just wondering what cichlids could be kept in a 4x2x2?
I was thinking maybe a pair of Jags?
Any other ideas?
Thanks.
:)

Not really. That is larger than what I kept my breeding pair of jags in. I had mine in a 75gal tank for two years. Male was 15" and female was 12" when I got rid of them. Healthy, beautiful fish. He was a ladies man, always let her push him around. LoL.

Crenicichla would be cool in there, as well as some of the Caquetaia (myersi especially!! )

Yeah, considered crenicichla.

I might be growing out a motoro ray in there for a friend though, then I was planning to get a Jardini aro to growout.
But After that I might get some crenicichla, or other CA/SA cichlids.

I love the more exotic "Midas complex" Amphilophus species. You could do something like a solo chancho, or a pair of a smaller species. By the way, what fish are you keeping right now? It's always fun to get updates from others in the area.

Right Now?
I only have two plecos and a channel cat.

Been looking for some datnoids to growout in an empty tank I have though.

What about a nice pair of Amphilophus Labiatus?
Mini FH's! :D

Heck, I might be growing out a ray in this tank though... possibly a lei aro too.
So I'm probably gonna hold off on the cichs, but that just gives me more time to think.

put that wolfish in it thats at midway, if i had a spare tank i would so do it. you thing a woldfish can live with rtc's in a tank

Haha, yeah dats have always interested me. I've heard they're real slow growers though.

Labiatus are great fish. You could probably do a pair in a 75, but I'd keep a divider handy in case things get nasty. I'd be really awesome to get some big lipped wild caught labiatus from Jeff Rapps, but that costs some serious coin!

That'd be really cool to have a ray and arowana! Who's your friend that you'd be growing the ray for?

Man, I havent seen it.
You got any pics?
:D

I wanna grow out a female motoro though, and I dont want cichlids pickin' on it.
I'm just gonna wait until I get the tank set-up.
