P. bass are boring. Get some real fish. Like some of the one's I listed. :naughty:

I mean, how often do you see fish like Tomocichla asfraci, Herichthys labridens, Herichthrys pantostictus, Cryptoheros panamensis, or wild green terrors or true parrots available (I forgot the last two off my list above)? Anyone can get some P. bass. :D

If you want to do Pbass you could throw a couple in there and they'd be fine for awhile. The 2ft width really helps you.. eventually you'd want a bigger tank but for right now they'd be cool. Just get a couple small ones and watch them grow into MONSTERS !!!!

Well, how long exactly?
Two years, three years?
I've read that small pbass can be very hard to raise with only accepting live food, prone to ich, and a few other things...

Oh, that makes me remember a killer combo. Female Red terror, with a male green terror, male friedrichstallii.

If you start them somewhat small you should be able to last awhile, not gonna say exactly how long though... I have 7 pbass in my 100 right now that will be going in my 220 as soom as i finnish plumbing the filters... And if you want some that aren't stuck on feeders that will take a little more hunting to find them..

Well, what would be a good size to get them at?
The LFS near me has 1-2'' but I'm afraid to get them so small.

I'm not gonna lie they are hard to keep at that size... I'm horrible at keeping small p's but i'm fine at keeping large ones so go figure.. you can always give them a try though

I just might.
$10 dollars a pop so... I might aswell.
:D

yea i'd go for it...10 bucks a piece is a pretty normal price for that size.. If it doesn't work out you're only out like 20 bucks depending on how many you get

Exactly.
I meen, I've got an empty 35G just sitting around fully cycled.
Gives me something to raise while I constantly get my hopes up for getting a a big tank only to be let down.

that would be a good place to start them out..Just make sure your water perams are all good before trying p's..they are very sensative when small
