Hey guys,

Work just gave me a 5.5 gallon tank with a built in screen cover. Thinking about turning it into a terrarium....plants, back wall, water in the middle. Any advice?

I may also drop in 1 golden mantella frog or dart frog when I am done...

nah man, do a mudskipper! those things are mad cool! real personable. i would start by finding out what types of substrate to use. when i did my terrarium i remember reading not to use anything with pesticides (obviously), and there was a certain way to go about layering different substrates. also, try a fogger. they always make a tank look really nice, and they provide constant humidity. maybe you could do some sort of climbing plant on a piece of screen for your background? i dont know man, there are sooo many possibilities!

The biggest thing limiting me is the fact that it is only a 5.5 gallon....

Or you could just use it as a terrarium and just keep plants in it. That wouldn't be bad either.

I'm liking that idea, too

I think that tank is too small for darts. Isn't the rule 10 gallons per frog? Where's kearth at?

No clue about the rule, thats why I am asking. Mantella's and Dart's were the first thing to pop in my head when I saw the tank
