Whats a BGJD? Ive heard it before but forgot the name. I know you gotta do a few generations of select breeding to get one or something.

I took him out of the tank last time but forgot about him this time! Big mistake to make! Yeah, i probably would have only got about half of those EBJD's to survive. But i just got home and noticed my other breeding pair laid eggs! Looks like a very small spawn though and only about 200 eggs ): Hopefully i get some nice EBJD's out of this spawn. And there is no other fish in this tank with the pair to eat the eggs on me!

Don't count your eggs before they hatch. We cannot expect a 100% hatch rate. Some eggs are bound to become riddled with fungus, some fry unable to survive, etc.
I have raised fry from this pair before and they are very good parents. They also had very good hatch rate. I Did lose over half the fry last time, but it was because i had to leave town for 2 days and had no way of feeding them. I think i ended up with about 1/3 of the spawn surviving.
