5' Tank Problem

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Moving it isnt the problem, it's just the stairs. The last time, 2 of us moved a 4' with no problem at all. Seriously, this tank is just madness. It's way too heavy. Maybe it's because of the additional glass panels placed near the top to place an overhead filter as well as the big mirror panels along all the sides. I really need to show you guys a pic. Problem is, my camera battery is dead and I'm too lazy to replace them now. Will provide a pic when I'm done moving it.

It looks something like this tank in the photo --> http://www.reefland.com/images/TANK4.jpg

The dimensions seem about right.

But instead of the black panels(the ones along the top and bottom) it has panels of mirrors. There is also a partition somewhere near the top to place an overhead filter.

lol that could definitely add some weight! ... but yeah its as easy as when we were like 4? slide it! :D ... please tell me someone else here has slid down the stairs on a board lol

If you can't find suction cups, then wearing gloves may help your hands from slipping. Once they get sweaty, its all over.

board, trashcan lid, etc... except we didnt stop to think about the landing in the middle and the steps turned lol. We did that once from the roof to the trampoline and into the pool lol.
haha nice thats awesome...when i lived in alaska we would shovel or driveway snow into a big pile and put a jump at the end then we'd shovel our roof ( crazy huh!) into a big path leading to the driveway pile and get serious air sledding on it
