Grammodes will eventually get too big too. They can get 12" but it takes a while.

yeah that does seem a bit big. looking at pictures of salvini i really like the color and look.would i be able to keep it in a 29 as a baby and how long would it be before i needed to upgrade

I would say at least by 3.5-4" to avoid stunting it's growth. The sooner the better.
