Got in the pond today and found two more sets of labiatus that had laid eggs in the pond. Now that makes 2 pairs of labiatus and a pair of chancho breeding :)

Ive thought about Rays, but right now Im running out of room for more ponds. If I did I would want JUST rays..

The thought has crossed my mind a time or two ;)

Yes I love the White with blue eyes. I can just set there and stare at him and watch him for hours.. Its truly an awesome fish...

I never get the babies out of the pond. Too much trouble and dont really have room to grow them out with all my ponds and other tanks. This summer I will be adding Heating and Air to my garage and will be fixing another place for more ponds and aquariums. I may try to extract them from the ponds then.

I have survivors in the 2500 gallon pond when I have fry, but never in the 1100. Too many skilled predators in the 1100 for fry to live. I have several guys around 1-2 inches in the 2500 gallon pond right now that have grown from fry. There is a lot of rock work for them to hide in and keep from getting eaten. I hope eventually to have a pond full of fish that have managed to grow up in my pond from fry.. Last time I counted a few days ago, there were about 12 fish in there that I didnt stock which had grown from fry. Thats not counting any that might be hiding under rocks or in plants...

The pacu don't bit the pond ?

Havent seen any evidence of this happening yet. Its pretty thick and pulled tight. I would think it would be tough for the pacu to bite any part of it with the material being stretched as tight as it is, but anything is possible I guess :)
