more progress, more pics...ill probably be adding sand and filling it up this weekend. i also used insulation on the outside of the tank. should be very insulated. all i have to do now is make the filter and build a top to it...
any idea how fast peacock bass will grow in this tank? my peacocks i have right now arent growing as fast as i thought they would. they are starting to get good color but are only about 5"...
I would think the 5"ers could double in size w/that amount of water volume. A quality pellet, high in protein, and clean water should get things going. Again, maybe ask the PBass forum.
anyone ever think about using a picture background in a pond like this? my wife had the idea to use a background on all the sides w/ sand on the bottom. just to brighten it up a lil. i thought about getting one and trying it out on one side. if i do, i'll post pics to see what you guys think...
lol its being filled up today. im cleaning 250lbs of sand for the substrate. i'll be using one of those 3 tier clear plastic drawer sets for the filter and i'll probably end up getting a large canister for additional filtration. alot of work but well worth it. now i need to figure out which fish of mine to put in it lol
