500 Gallon indoor pond build

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
ive got it filled about 3/4 of the way. I'll be adding more when i get off work lol. I'll post pics tonight too

another update on the pond. im giving the filter a test run and slowly adding my decorations. i installed an emergency overflow pipe and also an additional pipe for quick and easy water changes. all i have to do is close the valve to the filter and open the valve to another pipe for drainage. Im still not done with the outside of the tank. I'll be putting some sort of finish around the tank to give a more complete feel...

where does the drainage pipe drain to?

i had a utility sink installed about 6ft away. all i have to do is connect a tube to the drainage pipe and switch the flow of the pump in the pond to push the water down the sink. its just easier to pump water out than to use a siphon for that size tank...

WOW, one of the best looking home made ponds i have seen, great job and great filtration, wet drys are perfect, cycled my 55 gallon in just 2 weeks with one.

thanks...yea im a fan of wet/drys. this pump i have now is a little too powerful for the 3 tier drawer set on there now. I may have to upgrade to somethin a little bigger...
