There is a lung in there, but also a african arowana.....stunning tank and fih budd, shame your battling water issues, but it will all work out in the end

Thanks. I'm not too worried about it, taking my time. In person the tank looks good and you can see to the back, but the flash of the camera really lights up the green in the water.

dont blame you feeling uninspired to do water changes in a 500g tank... i have a hard time keeping up with my 55g sometimes:redface: awesome tank btw

very nice... yea my 500 water changes are a PITH .. it seems like an all day job :(

BTW.. just curious.. glass or acrylic?

Glass. Insanely heavy...

just curious but when you connect the fx5's to the sump do you put the inlets in the last chamber of the sump and outlets in the first? so effectively 'double back filtering' so to speak???

Glad to see the gars are doing good. If Your water parameters are stable now, Look into hooking up a UV It will help clear the tank up. Also if you have nearby plumbing set up a auto water changer. It is the best thing I ever did. I do about 400 gallons a week on the 750g without even lifting a finger. I just change the filter socks every 10 days or so
