Wow that hc carpet has really thickened up, beautiful! Always wanted a nice low carpet of plants in my tanks (who doesn't?) but I never wanted to bother with co2.

I was in the same boat when i started, but once you realize how easy it is to setup, and you see the results, its hard not to use Co2 :)

wow as beautiful as expected. really come a long way since the start! looks amazing.

Thanks, and yeah even im surprised with just how well it turned out sometimes :)

Love the grass look! Very nice fts. I like it.

How did you get the baby tears to come in so full? How did you get it to spread like that. Did you buy a mat?

Hahahaha, thanks :)

It was created with a lot of patience and a sore back afterwards... I basically bought 5 square pieces about 3" x 3", then tore them apart and planted them in one stem at a time about 1cm apart from each other and let it fill in...

The only exception was the back of the tank, coz the outlet of the filter kept blowing up the dirt, so i had to place a 3x3" mat down to make sure it would grow...

Other than that, high light (i run 4x T5-HO bulbs), Co2 injection, and good substrate / ferts... But most of all, i think a lot of it had to do with luck and patience
