I trim the thicker areas about once a week, and yeah, it seems that with trimming the stragglers that grow up decide to start growing more sideways when trimmed more often...

The Aquascape looks great! I just have one question. Idk if it's the lighting or the camera but seems like the water is a little cloudy instead of that crystal clear that you usually see with planted tanks? may just be me :3 but it looks great!
 
Yeah, the water wasnt 100% clear at that time since i just finished a water change after scrapping all the algae off the side walls :)

This is an awesome thread and a truly inspiring tank. Im just getting started in planted tanks myself and your tank here is an example of why i am getting into planted tanks. Thanks for sharing. Definitely subscribing to watch this all grow and develop.

Actually i only got seriously into planted tanks late last year myself and pretty much a noob as well, so naturally i've also been experimenting with a lot of things between my two tanks...

Just be careful though, since if you get bit hard by the planted tank bug like i did, its may end up costing you you a little bit of $$$ at the beginning for things like pressurized Co2 etc...
