If you do get a lilly, look for Nymphaea micaranthra, its got some pretty sweet color to it, and unlike Red Tiger Lotus and the red dwarf lotus, it doesn't grow as wild, meaning it won't take over the tank in the same way those two do.

Maybe get some sort of red stem plant though, like Persecaria sp. ‘Kawagoeanum’ or a Rotala species with thin leafs.

This was my old 50G before i got my current ADA 50G you see all my bucephalandra in...

The seams in the tank pictured above basically started to show signs of separating which is when i decided to tear it down for fear of leaking... It wasn’t long after that i bought ADA tank im using today...

Not to mention, i didnt know about the waterproof hair clipper trick for “mowing” Dwarf Baby tears, so trimming it back every week wasnt that much fun neither coz the tank was at an akward height due to an old chest being used as a stand...
