523 gallon plywood build (pic heavy)

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
They are stackable store units roughly 80 gallons each, 5ftx18"x17". Picked them up for $35:) As for keeping it up to date I know when I was researching to build this it was next to impossible to find builds that were up to date so you had no idea if what that individual did actually worked long term. So if I can help just one person by letting them know that what I've done has worked (or hasn't) and still does work problem free then I feel like I've paid it forward for all the knowledge that I picked up on here from various builds!

Would love to see an update on the Victorian Cichlids that you had originally posted you'd stock; I believe on that list was Christmas Fulus :)

I actually sold them, they were a little feisty and caused a few problems :) Beautiful fish though. I have a couple more small ones in grow out now so we'll see how this group does. Considering the big brutes in the tank now versus then I'd say they won't be much a problem this time around :)

Figured I'd post a 3 year update, everything still going strong absolutely zero issues with the tank! I was able to find my dream fish finally though a mbu puffer so I switched the tank up for him. I was going to just put him in with my africans but I didn't trust them at all with a rare fish like that :)
