Just took my water to the local store, they said everything is fine. What would give me be giving me a brown tint when the lights are off though? It doesn't seem like algae, but I could be wrong.
This is currently what the tank looks like. Is this pretty clear for a 6' x 6' print? Or should it be a little more clear?

I'd guess the sand??? Definitely should be clear I'd think. I have no problem seeing right through my tank the long ways (10')
Driftwood or sand "new" or did it come from previous tanks? What kind of sand? IF pool or play and this is the first tank it's been in it may take several weeks to clear up.

Sand is new, some driftwood is new. I thought it could be the sand since my filter socks are turning a brownish color pretty quick. It's red flint aquarium sand. Rinsed it pretty well, the driftwood also soaked for a while. I'm banking on the sand and wood being new. Thanks again guys, I'm just happy the lfs said my params are spot on!
Tank is still getting established and rays are very very messy fish and waste a lot. Give it awhile longer and I think it will get clearer
