Think I'm gonna go with the red wolf as I have extra filters and am a sucker for oddballs. We'll see how it turns out!

A red wolf would be real nice!
Hingemouths are cool but they have been a unicorn till recently. I didn't feel like paying $200 to a dodgy importer to get them in and very little information is available online. Would love to see some writeups from those getting them now.

If you’re into community setups, maybe something like a simple black water planted tank with some Poecilocharax weitzmani, neon tetras and rummy nose tetras could be quite interesting...

I’ve kept Poecilocharax weitzmani before and absolutely loved their colors although they can be rather shy and may not be too readily available but would go well i think with some other tetras in a communal tank...

Red wolfs are very boring. During feeding time, yes, they will move, but they just sit like a rock. Also, Hendre , I think you will be seeing some write ups....

No unfortunately. I had an African biotope just before I moved back to Florida however, but I sold my stock off and never finished the project because the setupwas based around a BATF, and ATF are illegal in FL, so it never came to fruition.

An African biotope is still on the table however, so therefore so are hingemouths.
