i am upgradeing from a 55g to 75g

  • I currently one red devil(midas)
  • one rainbow shark
  • a pleco(with a missing eye)
  • and a 3inch sm bass
i plan to stock the old 55 with ebjd(s),2 or 3 angel fish, cory cat or pleco or both, maby bambo shrimp or maby discus.I know angels are agresive when it comes to eating but frozen blood worm normaly helps them eat. Do you think i could do somthing different; any questions?

I don't know about your questions but your brothers Oscars have sever cases of HITH.

doesn't really matter. Red Devils raise hell when they hit maturity good luck finding a fish that will stand up to it. Maybe a flowerhorn but then you're still gonna end up with 1 dead 1 injured probably

Stock list for the 75g

1 Red Devil

And your planned stock list for the 55g is too much, might be able to get away with 1 EBJD and a few corys in the 55. Remember, the 55g is only a foot wide.

I'd like to steer you away from the red devil, you are severely limiting your stock list with this fish. sell it or trade it in.

An EBJD is okay, it will not be as aggressive as a regular JD and you may be able to put some cory cats as a cleanup crew in there. T

ry a senegal bichir, they are just the right size, eat the same kind of food and have tough skin to protect them from any aggression.

angelfish require a more peaceful community, as their long fins are susceptible to other fish nipping at them.

if you are interested in more of an oddball community, you can also try a black ghost knife fish, they will do fine with a bichir and an EBJD.

if you want a cichlid tank you can also add a blue acara, they are not highly aggressive and look almost as good as a green terror. a blood parrot would be okay too if you want some red coloration in the tank.

I would also steer you away from the common pleco, and suggest either the cory cats or smaller plecos such as the bristlenose, they are great cleaners.

lastly I'd just like to stress to you to think of the end result and dont buy any fish that would violently dominate your tank...
