You could do an awesome Aulonocara tank, you could have around 25, I’ll show you my Aulonocara 55 setup, they’re still juvies tho

The apistos are WAY too expensive there! And that's only for one fish! What fish are you looking ofr. I know lots of stores. I can help you if you just tell me waht you are looking for.

I though that you were a guy untill now. ?oops. I know the feeling when people think fish are a waste of time.

Where were you gals/guys when I asked how to deal with a fish shy spouse? Lol My be just thinks they're too delicate to spend that much time & money on.

How so? Then tank might be a few dollars cheaper but the $ per gallon ratio would be way higher then if Matteo got a 55.

More gallons does not make it a better tank. A 55 is only 12" wide giving it a terrible footprint at 4ft long. The 40B is 18", much better footprint, room to work.

55s are really terrible tanks, gives people the impression the tank is bigger than it really is.

I mean its a good idea but i wanna keep it new world theme with the exception of the betta in which it will stay in the tank for a few months until i get my new center piece fish which is a dwarf cichlid

Didnt read any of this, but I would not buy a 55 and go with a 40B, probably cheaper overall and MUCH better footprint.

Depends what you’re doing with the tank, I recommended peacock cichlids and a 55 is much better than a 40b for that purpose

Hey guys I have a question i think i read somewhere that there are pretty much dwarf species of pacu just wanted to know if that existed and to see if it would be a good pick for a 55 gallon i think probably not but just in.case i wanted to know.

I’ve never heard of dwarf pacus, but there are good alternatives like silver dollars and columbian tetras

Wow they do look like piranhas but i cant change my stocking ideas now so the fish im getting is final but one thing i could change is the aquascape if any of you have some great aquascapes that would be good for the fish im getting could you post it plz??
