55 gallon perfect fish

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Male Jack Dempsey.

for me I haven't seen too much activity out of fish kept alone in their tank. a GT would fit the criteria but without tank mates it may become a bit more lithargic.

mabey bream or bluegill they take live food and never hide well they go in my caves all the time and scare out my knife fish, but if you dont have caves it should swim all the time. good luck im in the same boat getting a 55...

I'm late, but probably a pike cichlid, SA Leaf fish, maybe some catfish

You could keep a small shoal of red belly piranha they are very fun and active but you will need to uprade them like 4 or 5 years down the road.

Red Bay Snook :headbang2

Fits the list and will not fit in a 55 gallon for life as they can reach up to 20 inches.

Basically you can use a 55 for a while if you already had one or got one at a good price but if you are going to buy a new tank it would be better to save your money for a bigger tank.
