***55 gallon set-up***

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Again, not adressing you, but thumbs up on not getting in over one's head and being prepaired. Just don't want to discourage people looking for:help2:.

I'm not addressing anyone specifically. It is just people telling others they can't do things. If someone tells me they will upgrade (I know many do not), I take their word for it. It was not a comment toward you, but let us give the benefit of the doubt. Otherwise we are encouraging people to drop the hobby, not ask for help, or continue to be unformed. Just let us give advice for improvement, otherwise we are encouraging people to go on doing things wrong because they are afraid to ask for help and/or are unformed. I've done a lot of grow outs. We must assume people will do their best for the hobby and themselves; hopefully that is why they are here. We are a minority and by being here hopefully they want to do things right in time. Hopefully I did not offend you, that is not my intent. I just want to remain constructive.

My apologies. I miss understood you then and I agree with you.... I hope you have a wonderful tank and when op does upgrade he's gonna have an Awesome set up I do have to admit.

Honestly a red tail is still too big for 3 feet wide and 8 feet long these are some monster were talking about but I guess it could do but a fish like that really deserves to be in the wild or insanely big tanks just my two cents

And if your really gettin a 700 gallon why not just get normal sized fish and cichlids ? You could have an amazing community with that size tank possibly even mix doviis flowerhorns and fish that normally could never coexist
