I'm about to my make 45g into a tank full of those.

Except change that school of 30 to a school of like 40-50. They prefer tight packs and they are awesome fish.

Maybe a datnoid? In the long run you need a big tank, but if you start out with a datnoid around 2" it will be able to survive for a year.

1 x African Knife
1 x Senegal Bichir or Delhezi Bichir

from what i hear afb's are most incredibly boring fish you can keep in an aquarium unless they are eating

Heres a picture of my tank. It's a bit barren, but i might add some more wood or some rocks.

I personly like medium sized fish. about like 3''+ or soo.

I kind of want to steer away from African Cichlids.

But i dont mind other types of fish.

Is it just me or is that tank a little uneven I am looking at the water level.
My suggestions for stocking would be some african cichlids. But since your not so into them I would go with some poly bichirs Giant danio's tiger barbs etc
