55 gallon...what else will fit?

Hey all,

I have a 55 gallon FW with

1 black angelfish
2 bala sharks
1 rainbow shark
2 plecos (need help ID'ing)
2 female mickey mouse platys
2 female sunburst platys
1 male sunburst platy

and now 2 fry of platys (~20 little platys in total, that i may give away)

i was wondering ... recommendations on what else i can add? what would fit well with them? :confused:
 
^ sounds good to me(opps...I agree with the corys)

give pictures of the plecos, also watch out as the bala sharks could outgrow the tank
 
i know barbs are fin nippers, and am afraid they would go after the angelfish
 
I'd be worried about the balas , I love them but the get large (12") and if kept in a small tank get jumpy. The pleco maybe and issue as some can grow over 2 feet.

I'd add tetras, glass cats, cories, rosy barbs.

I would think something like glass cats are too delicate for tanks that have nippy fish like rainbow shark
 
I would also suggest cories. They are active fish when kept in a school, and you may even get to see some breeding activity! I doubt any of the eggs would survive though, unless you stepped in and removed them from the tank.

i know it may sound evil, but i love the Balas. they where the first fish i got. It also gives me a reason to one day have to go out and get a larger aquarium:naughty:

but im making a list and checking it twice, will go out and get fish soon i hope
