Honduran Red points are an option but similar to covicts that you already have only much more colorful. I like firemouths fine, but they are such a common fish, turns me off. There are other types of thoricthys that are colorful and harder to find.

Heroinas are an option too & I like the salvini idea. I've never kept salvini and always liked them alot.

Salvini are gorgeous, I will heavily consider them it's just a matter of me getting ahold of 5-6 juvies haha. Thanks for suggesting these!

IMO silver dollars get much too big for 55g. Rams are also a possibility

Well I want to grow out 5-6 from youngsters to get a pair, I personally think jacks are too big for 55g tanks. So far I'm thinking salvini or fire mouths or possibly geos(depends on species).
